Holidays!

Well, I had such good intentions to post more during Advent and it just didn't happen.  We are in South Florida enjoying the Christmas holiday with my DH's family.  We are having an awesome time!  The weather is wonderful in the 80's most days.  Addie did so well on her first airplane flight!  She only fussed when we were landing on our last leg, probably due to her ears popping.  We were so proud of her!  So far we've taken a couple of walks and she enjoyed her fist dip in the pool.

On another note, we are still dealing with thrush and yeast in me.  It is the most frustrating thing I have had to deal with during nursing.  The Dr.s aren't being aggressive enough in their treatment for me to help me rid the yeast.

Prayer buddy will you please pray for this situation to improve and also pray for Addie's acid reflux.  Thank you!

Blessings and Merry Christmas to all!

Back to Blogging

Well, since it is time for Advent prayer buddies I am going to try to start to blog again.  I started this blog after my first miscarriage.  I have enjoyed reading all of these wonderful blogs of ladies who are going through similar situations.  My DH and I were blessed with a beautiful little girl on September 12, 2011.  Addie was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 18  3/4 inches.  She had a ton of dark hair.  Adjusting to motherhood has been challenging.  We are finally in a groove! She is 11 weeks old today.  Yesterday, we celebrated her baptism into the Catholic Church.  It was beautiful!

Prayer buddy please know that I am praying for you!  Happy Advent to everyone!  Here's to trying to blog more regularly.

Definitely check out her blog!  She is a neat lady!
It was great to be able to pray for someone else!  This was my first time participating in prayer buddies.  I really enjoyed it and can't wait to be part of the Advent prayer buddies.  It is so amazing to be part of this online faith community!  I hope everyone had a blessed Easter!

A Milestone Birthday

Well, yesterday was my 30th birthday!  Where does time go?  I can't believe that I am 30!  I am excited to see what God has in store for me in my 30's.  My 20's were great!  I graduated from College and worked for four different companies.  I also married my wonderful DH!  On Wednesday night, DH surprised me with a dinner party with all of my friends!  It was so much fun!  The food was wonderful and so was the company!  I love my DH and I am so thankful that God put him in my life!  He is such a thoughtful person!  He even got me some beautiful flowers!  My birthday celebration is continuing on thru the weekend with some shopping.

Timeline

I started charting Creighton in Nov. 2009.   I charted for the full six months as my Creighton teacher recommended before trying to achieve a pregnancy.  I achieved my first pregnancy in July 2009 only to end in miscarriage at 14 weeks.  I had to have a D&C.  My teacher recommended that we wait a couple of months before TTC again and to even think about getting a Napro consult with Dr. Hilgers.  I ended up working with a regional Napro Dr. long distance.  This Dr. was wonderful in helping me figure out some of my issues.  It was determined that I have low estrogen and low progesterone, so he started me on HCG injections.  I took the HCG injections on P+ 3,5,7,9 for two months and achieved the pregnancy on the first cycle we were allowed to TTC.  I also have been on PIO injections from the very beginning of this pregnancy.  The institute is monitoring my pregnancy currently. I have so much faith in Creighton and I realize these are probably not all of my issues.  I am amazed at the work of Dr. Hilgers, the institute and his staff!  They really are amazing!  This includes the wonderful Napro Dr. that I worked with locally.  I am so thankful for the person that introduced me to Creighton!

Breaking the News!

DH and I are very excited to announce that we are pregnant again after suffering a miscarriage in 2010.  I am a little over 13 weeks!  I have really hesitated on posting this news as I know the pain of TTC and then also losing a baby.  I have been reading a lot of the Catholic IF blogs for awhile now and I didn't want to upset anyone with this news.  I have been praying for the women on the Catholic IF blogs who are TTC, have suffered a miscarriage, have a had a baby and who are trying to adopt.  You ladies are in my thoughts and prayers everyday.  I will post what steps we took through Creighton and Naprotechnology to achieve this pregnancy.  Please pray for me, DH and our baby.

Vacation and New Baby

Recently, I just returned from a wonderful vacation with my husband and his parents!  We went on a cruise and it was fabulous!  We cruised to the US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, St. Lucia, Antigua, and Barbados.  All of these islands were fabulous!  We ziplinned in Antigua, which was fun, but somewhat scary!  We also saw so many beautiful beaches!  I loved Antigua and Barbados!  There are so many islands that we want to visit.  My husband's dream is to one day own a sailing yacht in the Caribbean.  How cool would that be?

On another note, my sister just had her first baby!  She had a little girl and she is absolutely precious!  The new family is doing great!  I spent the past few days visiting with all of my family.  It was so wonderful to see my sister and her husband so happy!  Hopefully, I will be there soon!  I thought it would be really hard because I was due with my first baby that I miscarried in March, but surprisingly I did really well! Once, I saw that baby I was fine!

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to blog much.  I am going to try to do better.  It's a little intimidating at first.   Hope everyone is doing well!  All of my blogger friends are in my thoughts and prayers daily.  I am so thankful that I found this online community!  What a blessing!

Have a great week everybody!
